Community Prevention

Community Prevention is a voluntary program available to families, youth, and individuals who live in York County. Our primary goal when assisting is to provide sustainable solutions. We don't just want to solve the current problem, we want to prevent the next one. This is achieved through utilizing support funds and collaboration with local programs.

Our Services

Our team of dedicated professionals is here to help you navigate through the many resources available in York County. We offer a variety of programs and services to support the well-being of our community members.

If you or someone you know is in need of assistance or resources, we encourage you to reach out to us. Our team is here to help you every step of the way, and we look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.

  • Emergency financial assistance can help clients with their basic needs, such as food, gas, rent, and utilities. YC3 does not provide gift cards or make direct payments to clients.

  • YC3 does not have licensed counselors on staff. However, YC3 works closely with York counseling offices to help clients find the right counselor and get into therapy quickly.

  • YC3 offers coaching services to help clients address their ongoing needs. Examples of coaching services include working on parenting skills or budgeting.

  • YC3 can help clients locate appropriate housing and complete housing applications. However, YC3 cannot assist with paying for a rental deposit.

  • YC3 can assist clients with car repairs and gas. Additionally, YC3 can help clients locate, schedule, and pay for public transportation.

  • YC3 works closely with local schools, Healthy Families, Sixpence, and Early Head Start to help families access the right resources and services.

Participation is voluntary. Clients can be referred by anyone, including schools, law enforcement, churches and more.
